Experience: After graduating from the University of Winchester in 2016, Lorna gained valuable experience working in the USA before returning to England in late 2017 to join her father Nick’s practice, part of Protection & Investment Ltd.

Since then, Lorna has expanded her qualifications, becoming a fully certified Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). In addition to her existing expertise in Mortgages and Protection, she now holds the Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA) Level 4 from the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF). This allows her to provide comprehensive financial advice, including Pensions and Investments.

Lorna is passionate about helping clients, especially younger professionals, take control of their financial future by creating tailored strategies that grow with them over time. Her commitment to building long-term relationships and delivering personalized service makes her a trusted adviser to her clients.

Family

Lorna lives in Salisbury with her partner Jamie and their Labrador, Rory. She works alongside her father, Nick Illingsworth, who has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Together, they offer a holistic and family-oriented approach to financial advice, ensuring that clients receive expert guidance across all aspects of their financial needs.

Interests

In addition to her financial expertise, Lorna has a passion for travel and education. In 2020 Lorna took a 9-month sabbatical in Cambodia, where she worked as an English teacher in Phnom Penh. This experience allowed her to broaden her horizons and deepen her understanding of different cultures, a perspective she brings to her financial advisory work.

When she’s not helping clients achieve their financial goals, Lorna enjoys staying active by going to the gym and playing netball, exploring new travel destinations, and walking her dog, Rory. She’s also an enthusiastic supporter of Southampton Football Club.
